I was reading through some of the older posts on one of my favorite blogs. The post that I'm mentioning in particular was a list of things that truly bug this blogger.
The commenters, of course, agreed or disagreed with what the blogger had said and were happy to add their own tidbits to the list. One commenter in particular wrote about his distaste for zero hours. (in case you don't know, zero hours are high school classes that are only offered an hour before regular classes start for the day)
While reading the comment, I immediately sympathized with this guy because I, too, have taken a zero hour class before.
Then I finished reading the comment. He said that he hated how the zero hours at his school were at 7:30 in the morning.
My sympathy dried up completely.
My regular school day starts at 7:21 am. A zero hour at my school starts at 6:19 am.
I loathe high school.

Now THAT sucks. But what time do you get out of school?

The final bell rings at 2:16 pm. Which is nice but also kind of bizarre. You would think they would just start school at 7:20 instead of 7:21 and then end school at 2:15 instead of 2:16. It's the same amount of time and just kind of easier on everybody.

My final bell rings at 3:15. But still, having a 6:19 0 hour is painful folly, nobody's awake at that hour. I can sympathize, but not feel your pain.

But you said you "have taken a zero hour class before". I've been taking this for three years now, and planning to take it again next year.

Hey... I think that was my blog you were reading? Maybe? I can't tell.
Anyhow... your school starts at 7:21?!?! Really? WHY?
Is there an actual reason, or are the administrators just sadistic?
Someone should tell tham that students whose schools start later often do better in their classes.

B., what class do you seem to think is so necessary that you're taking it as a zero hour four years in a row?

And yes Aislinn, it was your blog. I really wish I knew why they decided to start the school day so early, but not a single one of the students appreciates it.

'Tis called Orchestra ^^. Only offered 0 period, 5 days a week >.< But schedule-wise, it's nice that it's 0 period, because otherwise I'd be unable to take some of the interesting courses I've taken so far.

Oh sad day.
I never took orchestra, but I did take one lonely year of band back in the sixth grade. Personally, I would never give up an hour of sleep to repeat the experience 5 days a week.

'Tis a meme, if you're interested.
